PCOS Provider Course Waitlist & Free PCOS Checklist

As I finished my training and eventually became a dietitian, I realized that most providers are confused about PCOS, let alone how to manage it with a non-diet trauma-informed approach.

Well, I’m thrilled to announce that I’m here to help.

I still remember when I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). My gynecologist hastily mentioned that I may have PCOS and that it could mean I would have trouble conceiving one day. Before she ran out the door, I stopped her and asked if she could elaborate. I was only 19, just had my first OB/GYN visit, and wasn’t quite sure that I even heard what she said that I had (polycystic ovarian syndrome is quite a mouthful).

I looked through the pamphlet the nurse handed me on my way out. I felt pretty confused. I wasn’t sure that I even believed I had this diagnosis. I didn’t know if I should even care since I was years away from trying to conceive.

Fast forward many years later, and I can confidently say that I didn’t really understand my PCOS until I was training to become a dietitian. Unfortunately, most of this training didn’t happen in the classroom (this is pretty common). I learned about it through my mentorship with Julie Duffy Dillon (a fantastic weight-inclusive PCOS RD) and the time I dedicated to sifting through the literature. As I finished my training and eventually became a dietitian, I realized that most providers are confused about PCOS, let alone how to manage it with a non-diet trauma-informed approach. Well, I’m thrilled to announce that I’m here to help.

In February 2024, I will be offering a PCOS course for providers. The PCOS Provider Course will be a fat-positive and trauma-informed guide for clinicians to learn how to support individuals with PCOS. The course will dive into the details that make up PCOS while keeping an eye on the big picture of how PCOS affects food, body image, and so much more. Join the course waitlist for the first chance at registration and a special discounted registration fee. As a little gift to share my excitement for the course, I’m also offering a free checklist of my top 10 questions to ask clients about their PCOS. It's an absolute must-have for all PCOS providers to help them better understand their clients’ PCOS. Click here to download the checklist today. Stay tuned for more information about the course!
