SUPERVISION & CONSULTATION

Are you a healthcare provider, educator, researcher, or other professional interested in learning how to reduce the harmful effects of weight stigma?

If that’s you, first of all, thank you. And welcome...

As you probably know, the effects of weight stigma can be detrimental to someone’s mental and physical health.

The negative biases affecting fat folks in schools, the workplace, at home, in health clinics, and really everywhere cause depression and anxiety, feelings of rejection in social settings, eating disorders, and other harms.

So how can we fix this?

Well, my supervision and consulting services, which incorporate Health at Every Size® philosophies, are designed to educate you and/or your team on these issues and give you the tools you need to be more inclusive in your approach to reduce potential harm.

  • During individual & group sessions, I will…

    • Provide insight and information shaped by scientific literature, my specific training, and my own lived experiences.

    • Help you navigate difficult conversations about health and weight stigma and offer tangible ways to change your workplace to be more weight-inclusive.

    • Strengthen your understanding of unintentional weight bias and fat body politics so you can be a better ally and advocate.

    • I also facilitate collaborative workshops for groups to engage all individuals through a more hands-on approach.

As an Advocate…

I’m committed to making the world a safe place for all bodies.

To do this, we need to shift how we as a society view and discuss bodies so that everyone feels represented and accepted just as they are.

That often means disrupting systems that place stigmas on our bodies and interrupting harmful narratives that shame us into feeling broken and unworthy.

As a fat-positive provider and advocate, my goal is to…

  • Spread awareness about the dangers of these stigmas and internalized narratives.

  • Educate health care institutions and professionals on how to be more body-positive and inclusive in their work.

  • Empower people to fully embrace who they are and confidently advocate for themselves.

Let’s make every body feel safer in this world.
